Quality Enhancement Plan
The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is underway! The plan was designed to improve student learning at Alabama A&M University as required by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges' (SACSCOC). The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) is the recognized regional accrediting body in eleven U.S. Southern states.
The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) uses “Dare to Think!” as its slogan. It is a five-year plan that describes a carefully designed course of action that addresses a well-defined and focused topic related to improving students' learning in general education. SACSCOC requires each of its member institutions to develop a QEP as a component of the accreditation process (Core Requirement 2.12). “Dare to Think!” fulfills the requirement for Alabama A&M and was approved with “no recommendations.” The University was reaffirmed during the annual meeting of the commission held in Nashville, Tennessee, in December 2014.
